The term “Vril” originated from an 1800s science fiction novel titled “Vril: The Power of the Coming Race” by author Edward Bulwer-Lytton. The novel recounts a man’s journey into an underground world inhabited by a race of super beings who possessed the enigmatic power of Vril. Described as a fluidic force, Vril could both heal and destroy.

While Bulwer-Lytton’s novel continues to captivate readers, Temple of Vril doesn’t draw any themes or elements from the story, except for the term Vril, which we’ve repurposed as a broader life force of the universe.

Some believe that a secret order called the "Vril Society" existed in pre-WWII Germany and aided the rise of the National Socialist party. However, there’s no evidence to support this claim, and the supposed members turned out to be fictional characters. Additionally, some believe that Vril is a “reptilian parasite,” a concept that has gained widespread attention on social media. The origin of this distortion is unclear and is not linked to Bulwer-Lytton’s novel. Temple of Vril is not associated with these false narratives.
